A Chrome extension for website review notes.
Review a website or app build without moving every observation into another window. Notes in the Margins keeps page feedback, project context, and Markdown tasks beside the work you are evaluating.

Website feedback that does not cover the website.
Popup notepads disappear when you click back into the page. A separate document makes you keep matching comments to routes and screenshots. Notes in the Margins uses Chrome's side panel, so the build stays visible while you write.
The result is a calmer review loop for designers, developers, product teams, QA passes, content checks, and anyone walking through a staging or production site one page at a time.
One note per page path, plus one for the whole domain.
Page notes follow the route
Move from /home to /pricing and the relevant note appears automatically. Query parameters and hash fragments do not create noisy duplicate notes, so filters, sorting, and temporary interface state stay grouped with the meaningful page path.
The domain note keeps project context
Keep shared decisions, release checks, voice and tone reminders, or a running review summary in one site-wide note. It remains available on every route in the current domain.
The overview turns routes into a review
Zoom out to see the domain note and every page that contains a saved note. Empty editors never become clutter, and selecting a page returns you to its focused writing surface.
Write the review once, then hand it off as Markdown.
The editor renders headings, emphasis, links, lists, and task items as clean rich text while preserving Markdown underneath. Copy one page note when a developer only needs that route, or export the domain note and every saved page note as one structured .md file.
That file is ready for a repository, an issue tracker, Notion, Obsidian, an email, or a developer agent. The review is not locked into a proprietary workspace, and no account or cloud project is required to start.
Useful for the messy middle of shipping a site.
- Design QA across desktop and responsive routes
- Copy, content, and accessibility review passes
- Frontend polish and pre-launch checklists
- Localhost, staging, and production comparisons
- Structured handoff to teammates or development agents
- Private notes that remain in Chrome until you export them
Keep the page and the thought together.
Add Notes in the Margins to Chrome and start your next review beside the page.
